Monarch Acupuncture & Wellness Welcomes New Acupuncture Associate

Monarch Acupuncture & Wellness has always put the wellness goals of our clients first. The Walnut Creek-based center provides a customized care plan that not only includes acupuncture, but also constitution-based herbal remedies and treatments that ensure optimal results.

Emily Edmonds Joins

As Monarch Acupuncture & Wellness grows to meet the needs of our community, we are excited to announce the arrival of our new acupuncture associate. The latest California-state licensed acupuncturist and herbalist to join the Walnut Creek center is Emily Edmonds, L.Ac., MSOM, Dipl. Ac., NCCAOM.

More About Emily Edmonds

Emily’s main areas of focus are reproductive medicine, fertility, pregnancy, and endocrine disorders, including full-spectrum thyroid health. She joins us after completing her internships at the First Teaching Hospital in Tianjin, China and UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital located at Mission Bay.

In China, Emily specialized in stroke rehabilitation; while in Mission Bay, she was responsible for providing acupuncture treatments to hospital staff. Emily also has the distinction of doing post-graduate training in UC Berkeley Athletics Department, where she honed her skills in pain management.

Prior to becoming a valued member of Monarch Acupuncture & Wellness, Emily worked for a clinic located in Belmont, CA where she specialized in fertility medicine. This makes her an ideal fit for Monarch Acupuncture & Wellness, and the types of treatments the center provides. Emily uses a whole host of systems from traditional Chinese medicine to help her clients. Some of the systems she uses are acupuncture, moxibustion, customized herbal medicines, cupping, and nutritional therapy.

When she is not seeing and helping clients, Emily enjoys going for long walks and hikes in the company of her pug, Lucy. She also enjoys rock climbing, yoga, and dancing.
